"Open Hearts" is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter The Weeknd. It was released on January 31, 2025 as one of the tracks from the artist's sixth studio album, Hurry Up Tomorrow.

Fans first found out about the title and its writers through an ASCAP registration on August 30, 2024. Months later, Tesfaye performed the song live with playback during the October 22-October 23 shows from the Australian leg of the After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour.[1]

Apple Vision Pro short film[]
On November 11, Tesfaye announced an Apple Vision Pro exclusive short film for Open Hearts, released on November 15 (and available in specific Apple Stores around the world).[2]
The video begins where the "Dancing in the Flames" music video ended, with Tesfaye in an ambulance, surrounded by shadowy figures and in a desert setting, later changed to a city. As the vehicle stops with young Abel standing before it, The Weeknd steps out of the ambulance and walks through a hallway, eventually ending up in front of a stage, where yet another Abel performs live to an audience. The crowd transitions into an ending screen with "The Weeknd" in center. Some letters then fade out, making out "The End".[3]
On February 2, 2025, a non-VR version of the video was released on Tesfaye's YouTube channel, labeled as the official music video.
Live performance[]
Tesfaye performed the song live again at Jimmy Kimmel Live! on January 31, 2025. While the official video does show Tesfaye singing the song at first, halfway through it transitions into a short film. The crowd disappears, only leaving a young, stop motion Tesfaye slowly clapping. He walks away and is followed by our Abel, who then enters a jungle-like world, and gets absorbed into the ground by an unknown force.
