Elizabeth Woolridge Grant (born June 21, 1985) better known by her stage name, Lana Del Rey, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, poet, model, and music video director. She is close friends with The Weeknd, and has collaborated with him on various songs and has contributed background vocals to one of his tracks. The 11x GRAMMY-nominee has sold over 47 million singles and 15.5 million albums in the United States alone as of 2024.
The pair are two especially good friends, having been around in the music industry for years before their first collaboration. Lana thanked Abel for his promotion of her debut single "Video Games" on the popular social media website Tumblr in 2012, In 2013, Abel proclaimed in an interview with Pitchfork that he had felt Lana was the girl he was speaking to in his songs, and that their works were strongly interconnected through storytelling.
Since then, Del Rey and Tesfaye have featured on one another's projects continuously in various different ways, and grown closer throughout the years. Notably, Lana is often referred to as the "Stargirl" to his "Starboy", or Abel's significant half in terms of their relationship or in his music.

On August 14, 2020, The Weeknd played a snippet of an unofficial remix of Lana Del Rey's "Money Power Glory" on Episode 9 of his Memento Mori radio show.
It is unclear if a full version was recorded or if he was an original featured artist on the track. The Weeknd's vocals and lyrics are very similar to the ones of Del Rey's in the leaked demo of the song.

"Prisoner" is a song by The Weeknd featuring Lana Del Rey, it is the thirteenth track from his second studio album Beauty Behind the Madness, which was officially released worldwide on August 28, 2015.
On December 9, 2015, during the Madness Fall Tour, The Weeknd brought Del Rey onstage to perform "Prisoner" alongside one another for the first time together in Inglewood, California.

"Stargirl Interlude" is a song by The Weeknd featuring Lana Del Rey, it is the eighth track from his third studio album Starboy, which was officially released worldwide on November 25, 2016. The song peaked at No. 61 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart, as well as No. 21 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
The song exploded on several platforms, pushing the song into new heights and breaking records alike. In 2023, the song was crowned the most streamed and popular Interlude on the musical streaming service Spotify, with over 1 billion streams on that platform alone, to date. It has also sold over 1 million units in the United States, with it being certified GOLD in the United Kingdom, selling over 400,000 units.
Lust For Life[]
"Lust for Life" is a song by Lana Del Rey featuring The Weeknd released as a single from her fifth studio album of the same name, titled Lust for Life. The song was registered on ASCAP during March, 2017, with The Weeknd credited as a co-writer. It was officially released as a single worldwide on April 19, 2017, and on May 22 the official music video was released.
The song debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts, and found a spot on the Twitter Trending 140 chart, scoring them both a worldwide hit upon release, and scoring millions of streams across various platforms to date.
